NABET Accreditation

A twenty year existence and sustenance of an institution in this competitive world is long enough to prove the quality and standards of the institution. But the growth of the institution depends on its ability to go beyond the set standards and benchmarks. That is when Indian School Darsait decided to opt for a Quality School Governance Standard which was realized through NABET – QCI(set up in 1997 jointly by the Government of India and the Indian Industry represented by the three premier industry associations i.e. Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), to establish and operate national accreditation structure and promote quality through National Quality Campaign) that provides accreditation for Quality School Governance with a view to providing framework for the effective management and delivery of the holistic education programmes aimed at overall development of students.

The school today can boast of being the first CBSE School outside India to be accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Education and Training – Quality Council of India ( through the accreditation no IS 1620 040 which is valid for 4 years from 16 June 2012 to 15 June 2016.

The herculean task of documentation of the processes and procedures of the school was done meticulously by a core committee. The readiness visit by NABET officials from New Delhi provided the school an insight into the area that needed improvement and the final inspection of the key areas of academics and school administration proved beyond doubt that quality education is assured at Indian School Darsait.

The accreditation will definitely aid the school in conceptualizing national curricular objectives, strengthening the school governance, enhancing teaching – learning process and making evaluation method more effective.

The accreditation certificate was presented to Mr Omanakuttan N, President of SMC by Mrs Shiela Dixit, Chief Minister of Delhi at a function held in New Delhi recently.
